We launched a new “BUY NOW” button on our legacy subscription widget. The new Ongoing Buy Now button allows your customers to skip the cart and reduces checkout friction.

WHO CAN USE THIS?

This feature is for Shopify merchants using a theme that is not a 2.0 theme. If you are using a theme that is not a 2.0 theme, that means you are using what Shopify calls a “legacy theme”. We are constantly making updates to our subscription widget for legacy themes. Ongoing understands that not everyone has switched over to the new Shopify 2.0 themes. If you have a 2.0 Theme, then you already have access to a BUY NOW button within the theme.

We hope this new update will benefit all merchants using older themes.

BENEFITS OF BUY NOW BUTTON

Now your customers can checkout with one click!

When your shoppers click the BUY NOW button, they will skip over the cart page, and go straight to checkout!

The new BUY NOW button helps with optimizing your sales funnel, and can drastically improve checkout conversions.

It’s one less step for your customers to go through, in order to buy a product in your store.

By default, the BUY NOW button is turned on, but you are welcome to turn it off if you’d like by going to your SETTINGS page.
